Guest Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I have checked the meta tags on my oscommerce site and the Submit Express online checker gives me this warning: Web page analysis. This page contains too many URLs. This tag contains 234 urls. Some Search Engines have problems with more than 100 urls on a page. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The size of the web page is to big. The size of the web page is 115810 bytes. Is there any way to correct this or does it really matter anyway? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Jack_mcs Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 It's most likely incorrect regarding the number of links, assuming they are links needed for the shop. The size of the page could be a problem due to the time it takes to load the page. Installing an automatic thumbnail contribution is always a good idea for that reason alone. satish Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Google drives 50% plus market so just make sure google crawls thru and it does for any number of links. Though too many links will dilute the strength per link. So if You have the complete tree of cats and sub cats expanded try to reduce the tree expanded by default.
