Guest Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Hi, I've serached the forum but have not found an answer. Probably using wrong terms. My query is as follows: if a product is clicked, the name of the product should appear in the URL. For instance, if 'socks' is clicked then, it should read, http://clothes.com/socks. But on my website it reads, http://clothes.com/f4328_87. How do I make it say socks? Thanks muson100
joep147 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 You need a contribution like Ultimate_SEO from Chemo, this one is easy to install. Or SEO-G, which is harder to install, but it has much more functions, which is better in the end. Your choice. yoi can find them here.
joep147 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 what is phpmyadmin and how do you use it? Maybe you have a cpanel, directpanel, or whatever panel which comes with most hosts. Log in to whatever panel you have and find there phpmyadmin. Once you are there: select your oscommerce_database which needs to be changed >> go to import >> select through the browse option the right sql >> run! Or if you do not have a cpanel, then you have to install phpmyadmin yourself: phpmyadmin from sourceforge

Your help will be greatly appreciated.
