Customize Product

We are selling custom crafts and need to include an option in each product listing that would allow buyers to enter a phrase or name that would be custom embroidered onto the item plus any additional instructions or requests they may have.

 

Is there a contribution that would allow this to be done? Searching the forum I haven't found anything that seems to do this.

Yes, it's currently on 3 or more threads. Do a search in the contributions for "text" or "imprint" or here even easier, look at my last few posts I've posted the links previously.

There is a contribution that I have seen but it seems riddled with issues for a newbie like me. I was hoping for an easier way. Much like how you can find a zillion contributions to add images to your products but the easy way of adding a line of simple code like <img src= etc etc> works just perfect for me. I was hoping for something simple like that.

Otherwise it's going to be a line of text telling the customer to specify what they want at checkout in the comments and hope that they don't forget...then me chasing them down to make sure they want it blank...or else get a call wanting a refund.

Yup, that's why I haven't installed either of them yet, I just want something simple & easy. I seem to recall a third add on that was exactly that, but I haven't been able to re-find it so I dunno...maybe I imagined it :blink:

 

I only need it for a few products, so I am reluctant to go through pages of editing for it.

EXACTLY!!!!!!! I only need it for like 3 items out of 170 or so products. Seems like a big hassle for just a couple of products. Please keep me in mind and let me know if you ever find it. I would really appreciate that ;)

I will. I found exactly what I'm looking for - on someone else's site, LOL. I'm pretty sure this is an oscommerce store too.
