Medworks Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Hi, I just started with a new credit card processing company and unlike the last one, they, without exception, require I enter in the 3 digits on the back of the card when charging it. But the website as it is only asks for the regular credit card information. Is there some simple setting I enable so that it prompts people for the CVV information as well?
Medworks Posted October 11, 2008 Author Posted October 11, 2008 When I went through placing a fake order myself, the php files that came up were checkout_confirmation.php and checkout_payment - I did code edit and in neither of them does the word "credit" appear. I was hoping I could just look at it, figure out how it makes a field on the page and then make another one for the CVV but no such luck. So anyone know how I add that into the data it prompts for?
♥toyicebear Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 You are aware that its against Visa and Mastercards rules to store the CVV/CVV2 security codes? Breaking this rule can lead to fines up to 500.000 USD aswell as losing your merchant account, getting blacklisted from getting a new merchant account. If you are based in The States you might also get civil suits from customers on top of that.
