Having a nightmare installing, and I think it is only because I am using PHP v5.1.6 - Do I have to downgrade??? Can I not install beyond step 2 mywebsite/install//install.php?step=2

Please give me hope, I am not doing this locally and I am not happy about the implications involved in possibly changing my ISP.

Thanks in anticipation...

Step 2 used to hang when register globals or register_long_arrays etc was "Off" in your php config (which is default in php5).

Are you using the latest version of osC? The newer installer is much better at informing if that is the case.

I'm sorry, but i cannot offer Free support via PM etc, and osCommerce forums prohibit me from putting any reference to paid support in my signauture.

However viewing my profile may provide links to my website or something like that which you may find useful.

Hiya Rob,

Thanks, thanks and thanks again for such a quick reply. Long arrays seems to have been the problem. Onto step 3 now.

Not sure if I am using the latest installer, not sure how to tell, but I'll plough on regardless. Cheers
