bathbomb-beth
My host service/web site is on a Linux operting system (shared hosting)...I've installed osCommerce and followed the directions as best I could understand...when I go to catalog view I got 2 warning messages. One I was able to fix & it's gone now (Warning: Installation directory exists at: /home/content XXX) but the other warning I can figure out where to go to change or set the right permissions. I need "dummy 101" instructions and guidance, please? I login to my hosting service, go to my file manager and look under my html file, I see +catalog and when expanded I see +admin, download, +ext, +images, +includes and finally pub. I expand the +includes file and to the right I see a configure.php (script file type). I select the configure.php and then click my Permissions icon. The tabs are: Permissions, Advanced Permissions and Password Protected. On the permissions tab, both options there are checked (Web Visible and Executable) On the advanced permissions tab, under Web user permissions, the options with a check mark are: Read. Under the Owner permissions, all 3 options are checked (read, write and execute(file)) Am I lost as to where I need to be to change/set my permissions correctly to make the warning message go away? Have I not gone far enough? Help, Please, anyone??
