doug_b
Hi everyone, long time since my last post - I've had an osCommerce 'detox', but now I've been asked to help out with a few more sites. A little rusty, so I'm hoping somone can help me get back up to speed. I always used to have a 'base' osCommerce template which would include bug fixes, performance tweaks, security fixes and a few 'essential' contributions, but that is long gone, and would be out of date anyway!! It had stuff like allowing customers to only use integers for product quantitys, page caching, auto thumbnailer etc etc Does anyone have a checklist that they use when setting up a new store? We've got to set up a few osCommerce sites so it would be good to have a baseline to work from before applying a template etc. I'm not talking about removing the default text and other cosmetic changes, just the internal backend stuff. Any help would be much appreciated.
FIMBLE
Think you should concentrate on security, must have is the auto back up. Site monitor, xxs scripting htaccess protection. Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
