PGelsman
About 2 weeks ago I made a post on this board asking about developers. Someone replied and said that my site wasn't secured with SSL properly. I am back with my former programmer and he is telling me that some browsers don't work correctly with Godaddy & SSL. Would the person who responded to that message or somebody else please tell me WHY my site isn't protected properly? The site: www.justmanuals.com Thank you in advance. Paul Gelsman paul@justmanuals.com First of all, the link you provided does not serve an SSL protected/encrypted page. The correct URL for that would be https://www.justmanuals.com. You either need to have your programmer redirect the site to 'https' or edit your .htaccess file. My Mozilla reports: "This web site does not supply identity information." and "Connection Partially Encrypted", with the proviso that "Parts of this page you are viewing were not encrypted before being transmitted over the Internet" I think the problem is that GoDaddy Certification Authority is not universally recognized as a CA. This would be particularly true if you bought a "cheapie" cert. Consult with your hosting company & they will probably be able to help. FIMBLE
Why would you want to have all of your site https? Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
