Price becomes Zero

Hello OSC Community,

 

We noticed that our products have prices but they become $0.00 as soon as you click 'Add to Cart'. Please help us solve this issue.

Going to need more information. What have you installed? When did it occur? Is it only in the shopping cart? Did you try replacing the original file to see?

Thank you kyle. Our site is www.shoemallcanada.com. We installed the ms2 2.2. Right now, there is no ssl setup yet. The price shows zero when we click on add to cart. We already checked the language setting for the currency and the default language and currency in the admin based on some recommended fixes, but we still have this issue.

Thanks Kyle. We did not delete the USD in the english.php. Shoemallcanada.com has 2 currencies (USD and CAD).

The most common cause of prices displaying as zero on

your website, but showing up correctly in admin is a

change to the default currency for the English

language. There is a connection between languages

and currencies in osCommerce. If you change the

default currency for the English language to (for

example) UK Pounds (symbol =GBP) then you also

need to edit includes/languages/english.php and

where you see 'USD' change it to 'GBP'. It was

assumed when osCommerce was written that if your

language was English then your currency would be

US Dollars :D

After you have done that set "Switch to default language currency" to true in osC Admin.

This is what is setup right now:

 

includes/languages/english.php ----- 'CAD'

osc admin "Switch to default language currency ------------ true

osc admin default currency is Canadian Dollar ------------- 'CAD'

osc admin default language is English -------------- 'en'

 

 

The site's test URL is:

The prices becomes zero once you click on 'add to cart'

in language files

languages/english.php YOu have

 

 

// if USE_DEFAULT_LANGUAGE_CURRENCY is true, use the following currency, instead of the applications default currency (used when changing language)

define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'USD');

 

 

change this to

define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'CAD');

 

If this does not work then in currency class some how set rate to 1(only if using one currency).
