borders and titles for boxes

this is my first experience using OS Commerce and here is what i have done so far http://www.edufantastic.co.uk/shop

 

my question is how do i make the bottom of the blue borders less thick? i really like the way this site looks http://shops.oscommerce.com/directory/goto,13086

 

also - is it normal for the Categories box to not have a heading when all the others do? is this something i have accidentally deleted?

 

sorry if these questions have been answered already.. i am a newbie who has been searching the documentation and forums for days without success!!!

Hello

You will need to check your stylesheet.css for a clue about the border thickness, look for

border:2px; or similar.

 

The Categories header comes from your

includes / languages / english.php

 

// categories box text in includes/boxes/categories.php

define('BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES', 'Categories');

 

You could be missing the Categories

I think Google does a good job of finding that elusive needle in a haystack from the 1m+ forum posts. Oftentimes it works much better than the forum Search in the header.

 

The way to do it is to limit Google's search to just the www.oscommerce.com/forums site, and perhaps increase the number of results shown per page (from default 10). I've set up a quick bookmark in my browser to prefil Google's advanced search page like this... it makes searching very fast and effective, and it doesn't slow the forum server down either, a win-win as they say :)
