I have two categories..Retail and Wholesale.

In those categories are sub categories. There doesn't seem to be a problem adding subcategories.

However, when I try to add products to those sub categories, I can't get it to take, no matter what I do. I can't get the product to list, I can't get the pictures to show, in preview or in the actual catalog, and the product will not list in the products for that subcategory.

Do I have to chmod the images I upload or is there something else going on that I am missing?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

If you have Main Categories with Sub-Categories then you have to put all of the products in their respective Sub-Categories. If you put products in the Main Category then they're the only products that will show up.

Thanks Vger,

I thought that's what I was doing.

I established the Retail main category. Then I added a subcategory ( there will be 10, at least). Clicking on the subcategory brings up the page to add a product to it..it even give the name of the sub category to which the product will be added. , I tried to add a product to it to no avail. I add the product information and the picture ( cannot find a "save" button on the product info page, so I just hit enter.) The program tells me via the little green bar that a product has been added, yet, in looking at the catalog, it says that there are no products in the category. Been trying to get around this for 2 days. I have worked with other shoppiing carts and I am not a total novice with php (learning more all the time) but this one has me stumped.
