A few things

Hi,

 

I have a few questions which hopefully you knowledgable people can help with......

 

1. I need to add individual product weights and total weight to the packing slips and invoices. I also have a net weight field in my database for each product which I need to add to the packing slip along with a total net weight.

 

2. I need to add some sort of code to enable my customers to have 5p paid to their account for each review written

 

3. I really needto simplify the standard checkout process as it is too long. Can anyone suggest a good contrib?

I don't think there are any contributions for the first two so they will require custom coding. For the last, you can look at the Purchase Without Account and Fast/Easy Checkout contributions. The latter provides a quicker checkout than the former but it can cause a lot of problems with other contributions, due to the massive code changes, so it is not for everyone.

Forum rules prohibits mentioning anyone although most of the top posters here provide such a service. Some people will recommend looking on sites like rent-a-coder but I advise against it. While those programers probably know how to make such changes, they seldom, from my experience, know how to make them in an oscommerce-friendly way and that will cause you problems later on.

Thanks Jack. If there's anyone reading this that can nudge me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Getting the weights and totals to display on the packing slip is incredibly important for me. I would assume that as the information exists in the products table, it just needs to be outputted on packingslip.php?
