I'm in the process of setting up a website for a small t-shirt company, and told them to use paypal as their payment gateway.

As they want to sell internationally, and have different shipping options, I was advised to upgrate to paypal website pro payments. I've done that, the account has been approved, but now I don't know how to set up the payment system.

Upon browsing through all the documentation on paypal, i was directed here and have looked over the demos only to see there are far too many features.

All they need are buttons on the page that say 'add to cart', the shopping cart button with the ability to select your location and the postage price will display.

Do i have to install and customize osCommerce, or is there something with paypal that i've simply overlooked?

many thanks.

No you don't have to install OSC, you don't have to install anything.

Paypal only takes payments, if you want a "site" you need something to display your products, allow them to be added to a cart, allow the shipping address to be entered.....

OSC does that part and PP can be integrated in.

There are other packages that do the same as osc, so you coulod use them.

i have a site already. how i had it setup before was with a simple paypal shopping card using their button generator, and it was fine, just the features were limited.

i'm looking for something as smiple with advanced shipping options, that's all.

i've been doing some more reading and research, and it seems there's no simple way around this as i originally thought.

i'm wondering if i can setup OSC, and just hotlink the buttons generated to the other part of the site instead of using the OSC as a cms.

possible?
