Shipping Problem on checkout

Message from a few of our customers:

I am trying to order on your website and it is automatically putting

express shipping and I change it and it still charges $49.00 express.

 

Description of the problem:

On checkout customers are allowed to choose their shipping choice but after entering their credit card number it automatically changes them back to express shipping. How can we fix this problem?

 

We are running 2.2 MS2 and are not ready to upgrade yet because we have a couple of add-ons installed that are not yet compatible with RC2.

Find the error and correct it. If this seems vague, so is the information you supplied.

 

What shipping module (express shipping means nothing)? What add ins have you done that stuff it up?

sorry i am tired and was getting my sites confused.

we are running 2.2 MS2 but no add-ons..

 

we use the flat rate and USPS shipping modules.

Here is more information:

After playing with it some more we were able to duplicate what our customers are saying..

 

everything looks fine .. we are able to select the desired shipping method.. once we get to the confirmation stage it is simply ignoring what was selected and choosing express.

 

Shipping Method (Edit)

United States Postal Service (1 x 3lbs) (EXPRESS)

 

Sub-Total: $19.00

United States Postal Service (1 x 3lbs) (EXPRESS): $30.65

Sales Tax: $1.28

Total: $50.93

 

When we click the edit link it bounces us back to the shipping page where our desired shipping method is still selected and when we click continue and go through the process again it remains on express.

 

There is not an actual error that is being generated. I have explained it to the best of my ability.. if you would like to see a test account let me know and I can set one up.

I will throw my 2 cents in. I have tried different versions of the USPS module and they are all doing the same thing. I have even stole the module from other working stores and it is doing it still. Something with OSC is causing the problem or USPS. HELP!!

Just upload the version of USPS from rc2.

 

USPS changed some standards in coding and now needs all in caps where as previous version had some values not in caps so witht hat version it will default to express.

 

just replace the module and chek.

Does anyone know what needs to be changed? (caps etc...) Ive got some customization and it would be great to just fix what is needed directly into the code. (same issue, user selects priority-gets express all the time)
