Guest Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hi, I have installed oscommerce and got it running a shared SSL certificate because my host desont allow 3rd party certifcates. However the address bar does not turn green. It displays a padlock and says that the certifcate is verfied by geotrust. Is that enough to put confidence into customers to make a secure purchase from my site? Would anyone mind testing for me to make sure it is secure and report back if you have a spare 5 mins? You should be OK with the padlock, it shows you have Some form of SSL Shared SSL is said to be not secure enough for CC payment detials though.
