Download by redirect

Hi,

i am configuring my cart to enable downloads, and one of the options is "download by redirect" which is written about here: http://www.oscommerce.info/kb/osCommerce/A...nfiguration/162

 

What does that mean actually?

There are two methods of downloading files:

 

1. Download direct from the 'download' folder.

 

2. "Download by redirect" which passes the file from the download folder, as a temporary file with a randomly created name, to the 'pub' folder, from where it is downloaded.

 

Download by Redirect will not work on all servers, so you may have to download direct from the 'download' folder.

ah, ok, so can I have both options checked and then it defaults to redirect or should I only choose one?
