pickyourbag Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hi everyone, I just had someone install my shopping cart to my oscommerce template, and being VERY new at this can someone please explain to me where do I go to make adjustments to the site? Do I go through the ftp, the database, or the download that a third party gave me for the template with all the programming commands? Or do I not go to any of them and go somewhere else. Very confusing to a new person at this like myself. When I go to the ftp file, I can view the root pages ( or whatever they are called ) but I cannot write anything in them ( even though I wouldn't know what to write anyway). Or if someone can just explain to me what each one is for. it would shed alot more light on things and I would be less confused. Thanks for the help... :lol:

Are you using a template you purchased from somewhere? A great place for newbies to start Road Map to oscommerce File Structure DO NOT PM ME FOR HELP. Also I noticed that you posted about the header, and colums and the main 5 files but I do not know where to find them??? Can you please help. Also why do I not have this in my admin??
