How do I add an image in front of each category in the infobox

I am using sts and know that I have to alter /includes/boxes/categories.php to put an imgage in front of each category in the category infobox.

 

I guess i need to use '<img src="image_here.gif" width="10" height="10">'; but where do I put it?

 

I've searched the forums and documentation but can't find the answer.
