thefrog666 Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hi all. after some help please! i'm trying to build a store that sells photos online. i'd like it to have categories that are protected by passwords so that only certain people can go into certain galleries. i'd also like to be able to upload 100-150 at a time and have them put into the categories/galleries. pricing is to be the same for all photos, just different dependent on size. is this something oscommerce can do? any help appreciated! I have successfully added a password protect to each category, but its not my contribution to share. You will have to wait for the person who did it for me to post it in the ocntributions area.. I CAN tell that it is definitely possible. As for the mass upload, that is pretty simple too.. go to addons.oscommerce.com and search easy populate. It lets you create a spread sheet and upload your products that way. I havent tried it yet, however. A great place for newbies to start Road Map to oscommerce File Structure DO NOT PM ME FOR HELP. My time is valuable, unless i ask you to PM me, please dont. You will get better help if you post publicly. I am not as good at this as you think anyways! Guest Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Easy populate works great for some people and not so well for others (like myself - it took a lot of troubleshooting to get it to work and even then, I do not use it very often). Read up on it before you install so there will be no surprises.
