Change New Products box

Hi,

 

I'd like to remove the New Products for Month box and replace it with the Specials box.

 

I'm a novice so a simple guide would be much appreciated.

a simply guide to remove the new products displayed on home page is to search and comment out the new_products.php module

<?php include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS); ?>

in index.php. but to replace it with specials may not be that simple, I am afraid, as there is no a specials module.
