Quitting browser while at paypal website

I have one problem with paypal. I am using the website payment standards and occasionally I get orders from people, but when I check they haven't payed me any money. It is really annoying to have to check to make sure they payed me every time.

 

I think what is happening is that they are going to the payment page on paypal and then redirecting to a different site or quitting their browser.

 

Is there any way to prevent against this type of thing?

Paypal IPN would solve this... It's built into the standard paypal module that comes with OSC.

Is there some setting that I am missing that I need to change in order for this to take place?

Do you have IPN (Instant Payment Notification) activated in Paypal?

Log into PayPal, click PROFILE, then look under SELLING PREFERENCES> There you will see (amongst others)

In Website Payment Preferences, make sure AUTO RETURN is turned on. Mind you, none of this is helping with the issue I'm having where PayPal payments aren' being completed, the order appears in the admin panel but I get no email notification. :(
