Try clearing the cache and refreshing the page. If it still shows up then it is still in A folder somewhere on your site. Try right clicking on the picture (from the other persons) website, and click on "properties" it will tell you exactly where they are loading the image from. Then find that folder in your files through an ftp program (like SmartFtp), open that folder and delete the picture. Your hosting service should also give you a way to block "hot links". Ask your tech guys where you can do that in your control panel. Blessings, Krisann
GemRock Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 1. useless, a waste of time; 2. you may be seeing a cached version of it if all photo files have been deleted from server; Search engines may also have cached version of them as well, which you could do little about; if your photos are of very high value then do not put them on the internet, not even the watermark could protect them: if it worth $1000 then perople would go to length to remove the watermark - its possible. php_Guy Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Most attempts to block right-clicking, etc revolve around javascript which can be gotten around simply by turning it off. You can, however, use your image as a table background with an invisible image over it. No matter what you come up with though, it's a moot point unless you have a way to disable screen shots. The only effective measure I am aware of is to print a pattern over the image, usually a repeating store name. It's ugly but an accepted method of protecting your work.

germ Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 You can make it difficult but not impossible to "steal" images so why bother? Watermark them or don't display them (if they're that valuable). And disabling right-click just "cuts your own throat" (to coin a phrase). If you do that, PAYING CUSTOMERS can't use it to open a new tab in the browser and be shopping on more than one page at a time. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. EbonyYasmine Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 Thanks for everyones help. I do watermark my pictures, but folks are really creative, they go to great lengths to remove them. 1. I followed Spooks advise ( for PC users it's great, MAC it's a different story they can just drag it to her desktop). However, screen shots are another issue. But still this helps, anything is better than nothing. 2. I found the issue, I replaced the pic with a jpg that stated "THESE ARE NOT MY PRODUCTS I STEAL PICTURES FROM ... etc.. you get the point. They removed the link    Anywho... Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped, it much appreciated
