Looking for the right category menu

I was pointed in the right direction long ago, but lost my notes regarding which one. :blush:

 

Originally I was going to try the More Category Boxes contrib, but noticed in it's support thread it had problems of some kind with SEO URL (not sure if it is referrencing Ultimate SEO URL's).

The solution with htacces is a good idee but dont work."

 

If I can't use and fix the More Category Box contrib, I am looking for something that would give me something like this tree structure -

 

# = image.gif

> = bullet.gif

Both of which I'd create.

 

# Main Category 1 .......(displayed, non-clickable)

......Sub-category 1 > ..(displayed, clickable)

......Sub-category 2 > ..(displayed, clickable)

# Main Category 2 .......(displayed, non-clickable)

......Sub-category 1 > ..(displayed, clickable)

...# Sub-category 2 .....(click to display Sub-sub below if possible)

.........Sub-sub-category 1 >

.........Sub-sub-category 2 >

......Sub-category 3 >

# Main Category 3 .......(non-clickable)

......Sub-category 1 > ..(displayed, clickable)

......Sub-category 2 > ..(displayed, clickable)

also trying to figure out how to hide the first category, which in our case is the storename underwhich all the cats for that store come under (we use multi store).
