If the country being used is not one from which Pay Pal accepts payments then that could be the cause of the error.

Paypal will not let you pay yourself (at least they used to not let you)... are you using an account that is already linked to your new paypal account to make the payment?

no you cant pay yourself but it will still show the log in screen which i cant even get that.

no i didnt delete it but the rool back did,sorry.

i did a roll back (back up ) on my site to a few days ago and it worked - i think?.

 

i dont know what happened to make this happen...

Your site tested fine. So does the one I am working with, I went back to the original paypal_standard.php. That site tested fine now. It appears as though the paypal_standard.php files got corrupted somehow.

I've been getting an error lately with paypal ipn. Seems when an international customer is transfered to the paypal screen they get an error if their address contains any international characters like: ü, ä, á, etc. Anyone have a clue on this one? It was fine until about a month ago.
