bluedolphincrow Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Aanii all, It's a beautiful and finally cool and breezy day here in mid-Ohio : - ) I finally have the template I bought for my new osCommerce store up and working...Whew that was hard... Anyway, I am adding my products today and I am stumped on how the prefix works in the Product Attributes section of the admin. Here is what I need to do: I need my products to each have 4 different quantity price breaks: for example: (I'm making the numbers up for the example) Product 1 costs: 1-11 units are $42.00 each 12-23 units are $32.00 each and so on. Now I have noticed there is no Quantity button on the product page so I made a test product attribute for a quantity of 24 units at $19.98 let's say. Now when I went to my site it added the the 24 quantity together with the price. I need it to multiply it. Also is there a way to have the customer choose which quantity they want in the example I gave. Say if they wanted 10 units. Do I have to make a separate product attribute for each quantity? Like this 1 unit is $9.00 each 2 units are $9.00 each etc and then 12 uunits are $8.00 each ????? I'm not sure how to make this work and I've been messing with it for a long time now. Also is there a how to manual for this community? or just the forum? I did search in this forum and could not find the answer. Probably because I'm not sure about how to ask the question correctly. I also went to the template help chat. They said the prefix options are + or - I asked them what each of those prefixes mean...and I've been waiting a long time for someone to get back to me on the chat. I welcome any help and tips, Have a Blessed Day and Weekend, Bluedolphin Crow

bluedolphincrow Posted September 6, 2008 Author Posted September 6, 2008 Aanii Simon Wow!! Thank you so much. I am working on the first item you sent me to. I'm up to the dutch file. And just discovered that I don't have a dutch language file. There are several edits in that file so I'm thinking I need to upload a dutch language file. So, I'm off to the contributions to pick that up. I am so very thankful to you!! The site I am doing cannot run with out this type of pricing ability. And being new to osCommerce I did not realize that it was not built in. Actually for the price I paid for the template I thought it was completely up to date also, alas...not so. : ( However, the editing is very easy and I'm very excited to see this in action once I get it up and going. Also many thanks for the docs. I will be crawling through them right away as well. Have a Blessed Evening and Weekend, Bluedolphin
