Guest Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Finally got Google Checkout verified and I think got it all onto the site. There is two issues. #1- The google checkout button is below the regular OSC "checkout" button. This would allow users to buy something and not even pay. How do I fix that? #2- When you click the google checkout button when placing an order, you get this error... This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. − <error serial-number="139ec828-e62a-4285-9211-6286369d4fca"> <error-message>No seller found with id **12*30*7**1*4*</error-message> </error> **Removed my actual ID number. The merchant key and ID are exactly what google gave me but it does not work. Help? Quote

Guest Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Yea, I was going to do that but I already have a ton of accounts as it is and closing that one is a pain. Ok. I guess I could do that. I thought for sure there was a way to go through the checkout process just like you would with another payment method. Guess not. How do I fix that other issue so I can actually open up the site? Guest Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/4556 3rd down /catalog/includes Fix for osc google checkout Working on that right now. One thing though. In the installation, it says to replace some things. I noticed that this was one of them... 4. /catalog/checkout_payment.php LINE 222 ============================================================================ REPLACE: $selection = $payment_modules->selection(); WITH: // ** GOOGLE CHECKOUT ** // Skips Google checkout as a payment option on the payments page since that option // is provided in the checkout page $selection = $payment_modules->selection(); for($i=0, $n=sizeof($selection); $i<$n; $i++) { if($selection[$i]['id'] == 'googlecheckout') { array_splice($selection, $i, 1); break; } } // ** END GOOGLE CHECKOUT ** What would happen if I were to NOT do that? You think it would then provide the option when checking out within OSC? Quote

You think it would then provide the option when checking out within OSC? Hi I do not now but if you have it showing in the std payment page and GC see it you will not have the opp to show the GC image on any of your listing's on google ie google products, add word adds ect but if you do not use them then still do this and then add the other mod I gave link to above? P.s do remember that if you use Google addword then the more you spend on A/word you get a % of free sale with GC or is the other way round which way round it is it is still a plus to just use this one? "Free transaction processing. All AdWords customers receive 10 times their monthly spend in free processing, all other transactions are processed at a low rate of 1.5% + £0.15 per transaction" from https://www.google.com yes the client dose not setup a account on your site them self's but the smart thing with this mod is the GC dose all this for you in your admin and when you get it to work it is so handy. I can see the exact line they are talking about and I don't see anything wrong with it. Also on the site, because I had another version installed, I get.... * The Version of the installed module in the Admin UI is v1.4beta1 and the one of the package is v1.4.5_CCS, Remove/Reinstall the module I'm about ready to give up and just forget the idea of the site all together.
