What are the pro's and con's of having the store as a category on your website? I have my store as my homepage but have seen others that Use their website to explain in depth about the company and products, then have an icon that leads to the store page.

My pet supplies store is the home page.. the photography store, on the other hand has an entire html site before the catalog. Basically, the main site is a portfolio of works, and the store is where customers can buy prints. I think that unless you have items that require some type of portfolio, then that is a good place to do it. A great place for newbies to start Road Map to oscommerce File Structure DO NOT PM ME FOR HELP. My time is valuable, unless i ask you to PM me, please dont. You will get better help if you post publicly. I am not as good at this as you think anyways!
