scott36 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Hi there, I am searching for a contribution which creates a new little thumbnail of every product image which is uploaded through the admin section. I searched through the images directory of the oscommerce website, but the most contribs seeming to be a very difficult to install. I dont like to spend so much time with installing if it's finally not what I am looking for. So do you have any experience with thumbnail creation and any suggestions or tips? Thanks! ♥joli1811 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Hi Have been using this on 3 different shops for a few years no problems http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/1484 only one file change ( html output.php ) should take about 5 minutes I think I use the ( yesudo 9 Jun 2006 ) although I suppose the next one( ifunk 20 Jun 2006 ) would also be ok just remember to create a directory in catalog/images/imagecache with 755 premissions some servers need 777 but I would recommend to change back to 775 after your images have been cached. this is where the thumbnails are stored. Thumbnails from old products have to be deleted manually it really is a very simple install. John To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.
