Force user to select a UK address?

Hi

 

I would like to all potential customers from around the world to sign up with me but only allow purchase for delivery within the UK. I would like to force all non customers on checkout to select a UK address and only when a UK address is selected then they can proceed through the rest of the checkout process.

 

Does anything for this kind of scenario already exist?

this is 100% doable whatever reason, and whatever scenario osc can modified to fit in which is the beauty of osc (assuming you do not use any template which may make the things difficult).

I take it that this functionality does not exist then? I have had a look in the contribs and could not find anything or maybe it is labeled as something else and I missed it.

 

If it does exist can you please point it out to me?

What you *could* do is remove all other countries from the drop down selector "country" except from UK, then they'd have no choice but to select UK.

not to my awareness but i would not look for one as this could be a simple mod which depends on and is specific to your site, and I understand removing countries is not an option as you still allow them to sign up.

Thats right - I let anyone sign up but all order will only be dispatched within the UK. The reason for allowing out of UK customers sign up is if they want to send a gift they can do that but to avoid confusion of check out my process must force them to select a UK address.

 

So on checkout they must be presented with an option which is limited to only UK in the countires pull down menu.

 

I will have a look at this today - is it only the checkout_shipping_address.php file that will need modification?

Or you could put some text on the screen and force the choice of UK in the code.
