Guest Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I have been trying to understand why the + symbol in the prefix box in the Product Attributes section has suddenly started doubling the price of my stock when a customer proceeds to check out. I am not exactly sure what I have changed in order to make it do this. I have tried using a - symbol which reduces the purchase price to zero...what does it mean and what have I possibly changed to make it 'suddenly' do this odd action? thanks
jhande Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Hey Josh, Here is how it works... First start with the original product (medium) and price (example: $10.00) listed in your catalog. Let's say a larger size of the product will cost $15.00. So you enter the $5.00 and the plus '+' sign to equal $15.00. For a smaller version of the product it will cost $5.00. So you enter the $5.00 (amount less than original) and the minus '-' sign to equal $5.00. Maybe you would get a better understanding reading it here - Product Attributes. Hope that helps. ;) - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -

I did think I had tried these variations and this problem does seem to have only just happened. The '+' symbol has always been there. (I originally thought it was for adding tax...) I am suspecting that I may have never noticed that this error was occurring. I will read (again) the link you have provided - I did read it today and it made sense but i am not sure how to remove it and maintain the listed pri....did you hear that...? That was the sound of a penny dropping!!! I have just realised I do not need to enter each price from small to xxxl shirt in the products attribute if the price is not varying...oh dear, how simple it all is. LOL Hey, thank you so much! :))))

(((:))))
