nvbenterprises Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I have noticed in the past few months Google was indexing my advanced_search.php and advanced_search_result.php for various related keywords. From what I can tell this has not hurt or affected my rankings. The pages do not show up until the 50th page of results. Is it better to dissallow advanced_search_result.php in the robots file or should I just let it be? I had already disallowed advanced_search.php but somehow it is in the results. The majority of the indexed pages are advanced_search_result.php, which I had not included on my original robots.txt file. Thanks
nvbenterprises Posted September 6, 2008 Author Posted September 6, 2008 Just noticed today that when I search my links link:www.mysite.com, one of the top pages is www.mysite.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=ambulance&search_in_description=1. I guess this means it may be a little too late to add advanced_search_result.php to the robots file. Does this pose any problems having this not only show up in links, but also in actual serps. Nic
BapeClothing Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 This should not cause any problems. As long as you are using custom titles, you should be fine.
