Whosale Price Field

Hello. I would like to have a wholesale or cost field in the backend of the site (not for display to the customers)

and still have a retail or public display price field for the customers. Is there an add-on for this?

What's the best way to make this happen?

 

Also, I'd like to either run a script to double the wholesale price to populate the retail field, anyone know how to do this?

If it matters at all, Margin Report always gets my vote. (that is the second suggestion from Simon)

Neither of those are applicable to what has been asked for.

 

The closest you're going to get to what has been asked for is SPPC (Separate Pricing Per Customer).

 

This allows you to set up Groups e.g. Wholesale and Retail. By default people are assigned to Retail but can apply when they create an acount to be given a wholesale account - which you then approve or not.

 

Everyone, whichever group they belong to, sees the Retail price when not logged in, but once logged in the Wholesale customers see the wholesale prices.

 

You can have as many Groups as you care to set up and apply different disounts to each Group if you like.

Because you may not be familiar with them, you may not know that Margin Report does what you want it to do. It adds in a field for products_cost whereas stock osC does not have that. It may have the report to go along with it but if you do not care about that, leave the report specific pieces out of the installation. You will still end up with the new field you requested.
