Understand order weight

Hi All,

 

Can any one explain me how order weight calculation is being calculated in OSCommerce?

 

I am working on project that is for Australian client. He wants Australian shipping charges.I installed required modules on server and its working fine.

 

I cant explain him how weight calculation is being calculated in Oscommerce. I know its easy but cant explain him as I dont know in deep. Please explain me..

read documentation.pdf in the osC download and then do not charge for you work if you do not now what you are working on/with?
