zhexiang Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Does it helps to boost sale to display MSRP and your own price???? I know this way people can tell much they save if they buy it from you. But will poeple be fooled by this comparison ? Where and how you get this MSRP for certain products? Wild guess ?
lindsayanng Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 no.. not wild guess. MSRP is manufacturer suggested retail price.. so you get that price from your manufacturer. There is a lot of research that shows that showing the MSRP could give customers a false sense of "saving money" but MOST People know what the general price is for most items. Plus, they are already on the internet, so literally a price comparison is two clicks away. unless you are selling big ticket items, i wouldnt even consider it.
