contributions for version 2.2rc2a

hi i'm a newbie struggling through. The contributions tend to be so version specific and I'm not finding 2.2rc2a. Will 2.2.2 work? was 2.2x a true version or is it generic for all 2.2*** versions. The program is great once you get through the simplest things like this. And for the record the knowledge base refered to so often is bearing very little resemblance to this version. All those wonderful images don't look like my screens.

Some of the contributions will work with rc2a even that they say ms2. Some of them have been updated to work with rc2. Best thing to do is if you find one you want to use check out the support thread and see if any one has tried it with rc2a. The ones that can help with the codeing part of it are pretty helpful as long as you give them enough info to be able to help and are patient. using Googlwe to seach the forum for answers works better then the search function at the top. Be sure to keep a full back up of your site so if something goes wrong you can just delete it and upload your working version.
