burt Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 This is not the place to ask. Call HMRC and they will gladly send you lots of info.

First of all call HMRC and get registered (or not as the case may be - HMRC will advise you). Then if needed, read the knowledgebase to learn about how to set up VAT. It's quite simple, but first you need to register as if you show VAT (or in fact, even mention VAT) on your site without being VAT registered, you are in for a world of hurt.
Brian-Bear Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 just like to add if you retail to customers only you need not worry about setting up vat in osc. It really is only needed for business to business transactions.
