GIF Images 403 Forbidden

Hello everyone, first post.

 

I've just started setting up my catalog. The only problem I'm not being able to solve is, a few of the icons don't show up and if I right click, open in another window I get 403 Forbidden "You do not have access".

 

It is all pictures in

root/includes/languages/english/images/buttons/THESE FILES

 

I have tried changing the permission on everything above these files and all and it doesn't affect anything.

 

Any suggestions. They should be 644, right?

I know this is sort of a double post, but I solved the problem and it may help people in the future:

 

/includes/ was set to 744, when it should have been 755

/includes/languages/english/images/buttons was also set to 744, when it should have been 755.

 

don't know how I got those problems, but a good thing to do was step away from it for a bit, then realize it may have been 2 simultaneously wrong settings.

 

I wonder if it would be helpful to post the proper permission settings for everything. Then us newbs wouldn't have so much trouble. Would that be helpful? Maybe I'll start working on that.
