webarton Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Hello. I have my osCommerce site on http://www.mydomain.com. I'd like to have a copy of it on http://www.mydomain.com. as my test area. I tried to do as below but the page doesn't appear. Just a white page is shown. 1. I set up default osCommerce on http://www.mydomain.com. 2. I altered database of http://www.mydomain.com/test/ same as http://www.mydomain.com. 3. I uploaded .php and image files which I modified to http://www.mydomain.com/test/. (except /includes/configure.php and /admin/configuration.php) I'm not sure what I sould have done. Can anyone help me please? Thanks in advance. Aki

webarton Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 Thanks Lindsay and Satish! I should have explained well from the beginning... My hosting service is United Hosting. It provides osCommerce one click install system via admin panel of the hosting. I installed osCommerce to my real shopping site area and testing area with the one click system, so the configure.php was correct and 2 default osCommerce sites were working all right. What I couldn't understand was that when I saved my php files in admin and includes of real shopping area and overwrote my test area with them, the test area was not shown. In this case, configure.php was not overwritten as it was working all right from the beginning. I checked each file and I found application_top.php had a problem. When I installed osCommerce to my real shpping area, buysafe module was installed without notice. (I haven't used buysafe) But when I installed it to my test area, buysafe wasn't installed. So the testing area didn't have includes/classes/buysafe.php but my application_top.php had a part for buysafe and error occurred. I copied includes/classes/buysafe.php to my testing area and the site is shown finally. Thanks again -- I couldn't find what was wrong without your advice. aki
