Aanii and Good Morning everyone,

Well I prefer to start off in new forums introducting myself and helping others. However, this time I am in need of help before I have had a chance to really catch up on the reading...so sad by true...sorry.

I installed the newest osCommerce script onto my domain. The one that my host had was older and not working correctly.

Then I installed a new osCommerce template for my new store and I keep getting this error:

----------------- begin error -------------------

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'myonestopwedding'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/sites/myonestopweddingfavorsshop.com/public_html/includes/functions/database.php on line 19

Unable to connect to database server!

-------------- end error -------------------

I looked up in the knowledge base and it said that if the password was yes then my password would be incorrect, and just to correct the password and all will be fine.

However, as you can see my password in the error says no. I looked also in the MySQL documentation and searched here for a few hours and no luck on my part.

So I am hoping someone here can tell me what this error is and exactly how to correct it. I say exactly because I am new to osCommerce and when the knowledge base said to correct the password, well I have no idea how to do that, even if that was the problem.

Anyway, I thank you all for any and all help and I look forward to being an active part of this very nice community!

Blessings,

Aanii and I'm not sure what you are referring to. I know in the database.php file is where the script is referring me to, however, I could not find where in that file there was a problem. Mainly because all the code referrs to other files that keep the password and database name etc.

Anyway when I installed the template it came with a full install and asked me the info for my database namely, the database name, password, host, username. I filled that all out and it said everything was fine.

So, if you are referring to the code itself in the database.php file what exactly am I looking for in order to see if it is correct or not?

would it help if I posted the code from the database.php file that the error referenced?

Thank you for your help,

Blessings,

OOPS, I forgot to mention that I don't use Cpanel on this domain, my host uses something else - and my host uses the same database name and database username - they are both exactly the same. Does that help?

Thanks again for any and all help!

Blessings,

Bluedolphin
