Guest Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Hi guys, I am in troubles with finding the right configurations for russian language in my oscommerce application. So I was wondering whether you guys could provide me some assistance which steps to be proceeded in order to get Russian language displayed correctly...as now there are really big problems in it. 1) Do I need change the structure of db's table? I gave a try and used various kinds one unicode specific types but it seems to me none of them worked properly. So should the default structure of tables be changed at all? 2) What about html pages' encoding? I have seen in few example pages that Windows-1251 has been used. Is this the right encoding for Russian language? I have been taught that utf-8 would have been the correct encoding for Russian language. Plz my problem is urgent. I kindly ask for your assistance!
