Hi,

I want to upgrade my OSC but to keep same template/design I have right now ...

I'm in process of upgrading OSC to version 2.2 Release Candidate 2a ... So I have created new folder, installed 2.2 version, imported SQL from old version to this new version, tested and works fine ... So now I would have to copy all these files from new folder with new version of OSC and move them in existing folder with old version of OSC. I am wondering if this is going to change my template to default version of desing of OSC!? If so, how to upgrade OSC and keep my existing template/design which I have on current old version of OSC? Is it possible and how to do it? Please help!!!

Thank you in advance.

If you would like some free support then you have to be patient and wait. No one here OWES you support.

With an attitude like that many will just bypass this post. However I will offer a tip.

If you want to retain your template and you're not confident in your ability to transfer the code to a new set of files then you would be better off upgrading your existing code using the extras folder in the downloads.

the upgrade path could well be ..

You only get out of a Community what you put in, & you have contributed what, an awful attitude.

correct, most of the users think that Community Support is FREE commercial support.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

And, how many people have you helped on this forum?

What an entirely stupid thing to say .. so .. because I (and others) bothered to give support despite your bad attitude you now feel the need to call it a victory.

You'll never get support from me again and I hope it goes for others.
