Removing Language and Currency Options

Can anyone suggest how to remove Language and Currency Options from the site?

I am sticking to basics - English and Dollars and don't need the selections.

since we're at it, perhaps someone could recommend...

i have the language selection at the very top of the page. Once i remove it, i'd like to put a search field there.

If anyone is kind enough to post a recommendation - I'd appreciate it greatly.

just go to the catalog/includes/column_right.php file and find the code like this:

 

require ('currencies.php');

 

and do this to it:

 

//require ('currencies.php');

 

that will keep the code there should you ever need it again, but take it off your main page. Same thing for the laguages code
