GemmaC Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Why isn't the formatting showing up on my OSC site? :( Is it to do with the folder/file permissions? Could somebody please give me a rundown of what they should be set to in order to work optimally, because every time I found out something new - it is something different! So I'd like a definate guide, please. :) The images won't show up when I view them individually or when I view them on my site in context. Is this to do with the Leech-Protect / Hotlink protection? I have added the subdomain I am using for this endeavour to the "allow" list for both, so I'm scratching my head over this one... Could it possibly be something to do with the stylesheet not being linked properly? Am I correct in thinking the only stylesheet there is, is located: "/catalog/stylesheet.css" ? Is there more than one stylesheet and I am using the 'wrong' one? Or have I just linked it wrong (I have used the whole URL in the code). Please help. Truly stumped, Gemma

germ Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I used Binary format the first time round If you did the images were screwed up when you got them. All your images are showing the classic telltale signs of being FTP'd to the server in TEXT or ASCII mode. :o If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. GemmaC Posted August 31, 2008 Author Posted August 31, 2008 Mea culpa. I think I did upload the images in ASCII mode - so the images should be in binary and the .php in ASCII? Is this why the formatting was not showing up, either?
