Default product display

Good day.

 

I am trying to discern how to get product to display for a categories with no sub-categories.

 

I found this statement:

 

 

By default osCommerce only displays the products contained in a category if the category happens to contain both products and other subcategories.

I have found other threads close to my problem but no answers.

 

I have Googled the problem and the text above from the add-on article.

 

I presume/hope that there is an option in the admin panel to change the "default display" setting, but I cannot locate it.

 

I have spent several days on this and have found lots of other info I will need, primarily problems with authorize.net which is my next step.

 

Any assistance is appreciated.
