norpan Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I used the basic design pack to remove the little cartoons on each page in my shop, and now I'd like to replace them with new nicer ones. I've been told to use this link: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5512 The thing is just that I'm new to this and dont know how/where to do it? Could someone with patience please tell me how to do it? Thanks so much! Anna

norpan Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 But there arent any instructions included...?
Guest Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 But there arent any instructions included...? True, so let's see. Download the zip file. Decompress the zip file. Look at the images in the decompressed file. Any image that you want to use, ftp it to your website so that the new file replaces the old. The images folder files go in the images folder file. The buttons folder file go in the \includes\languages\english\images\buttons folder. If you have other languages, you have to make the buttons. You can use the png files to do that. The stars folder files go in the images folder file. These folders are all on the catalog side, not the admin side.

Guest Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 You could make a contribution with that you know Leslie Not really, I didn't say what ftp is. I wrongly assumed that osc was ftped to the website. Just as well there were no database changes. Oops, also forgot to say to make sure that the images are transferred in binary mode.

Can you explain a little more about what is happening and what you expect. If you have a template, the image code may have been removed?

Guest Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I used the basic pack that removed the old images, but now when I want to put the new ones in, it doesnt work..... You can download osc from from the blue solutions tab at the top of the page, then downloads. Look in the files to see what the code is and edit your existing files to make the images reappear.
