Default USPS module for International Shipping

Hi all. I just set up the default USPS module so I can offer international shipping with this method. I set up my zones, and the module seems to only allow this option for the zones I want, however I keep getting this message on every test customer I have ran:

 

United States Postal Service

An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations.

If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner.

 

I have set up my account with USPS as referenced in the edit box for the module, but have not had any luck.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I searched the contributions, but can't seem to find another way to set this up. Is my default module too old?
