maxielit
Getting this error message in frontend (and backend)after installing a template: FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it! And this message in backend after trying to solve the above error with the pnp.ini file fix in root + admin basically saying register_globals=ON: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'mysql'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/aaefxse/public_html/shop/admin/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! My .htaccess file: # $Id: .htaccess,v 1.3 2003/06/12 10:53:20 hpdl Exp $ # # This is used with Apache WebServers # # For this to work, you must include the parameter 'Options' to # the AllowOverride configuration # # Example: # # <Directory "/usr/local/apache/htdocs"> # AllowOverride Options # </Directory> # # 'All' with also work. ♥FIMBLE
This works most of the time Copy these two lines into notepad register_globals = On safe_mode = Off save them as, and include the quotes "php.ini" Now upload to your directory, either root or catalog whichever your store is located in. ♥FIMBLE
in case you are wondering... the quote marks stop it being saved as php.ini.txt Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
maxielit
Thanks for Your answer Nic, but i have actually already tried uploading a php.ini file both to root and to admin (misspelled it in my last post wrote pnp it should be php..) with the same lines but it doesn't do the trick unfortunately (have manufrog and they always have safe mode off, a good and cheap hotel btw) so I guess I'm back at start again..
