Mark0 Posted August 20, 2008 Share Posted August 20, 2008 Hi all, I have just begun working on my first oscommerce site and feel i have fallen at the first hurdle so to speak. When working through the installation guide at the final screen when a message is displayed saying finished, The installation and configuration was successful! e.t.c above this i am getting the following error message Warning: parse_url(http://carparts.webdesignmullingar.comD:\\\\hshome\\\\webcraft\\\\carparts.webdesignmullingar.com\\\\catalog\\\\) [function.parse-url]: Unable to parse URL in D:\hshome\webcraft\carparts.webdesignmullingar.com\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_4.php on line 75 Can anyone tell why this is? Warning: parse_url Look at the url: (http://carparts.webdesignmullingar.comD:\\\\hshome\\\\webcraft\\\\carparts.webdesignmullingar.com\\\\catalog\\\\ osCommerce should detect the url automatically during the install, but in this case it looks as if you did not make the configure.php files writeable during the install, so it's all nonsense.
