Site Disappears

Hiya, I had a shop running for a few years quite happily running OScommerce but then the shop broke and once customers tried to checkout the page would disappear. The hosting company admitted a server crash and an upgrade had been carried out. I then moved the shop to a new site and restored the backup. However the same problem keeps occurring. I wonder is it that the backup .mysql file is from an older OScommerce store, and the current store os from the latest download? If so can I upgrade the .mysql file.. any ideas appreciated
