Guest Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I need to make a quote cart as i am completely unable to tell the customer the following: a. the cost of delivery b. if it is still available as a quote i would not be in a contract to sell at which point if it is unavailable i just say its unavailable or I back order the item depending on the situation of the product. The cost of delivery is however the main reason as i am completely unable to calculate postage as i have several different suppliers all with different rates and some who wont tell me the rates at all without saying what i wish to buy. A quote cart will allow me to calculate the appropriate rate with consultation with the suppliers. Its just simply needs to be the following: 1. Customer adds items he/she wishes to buy 2. Customer clicks "Send to <StoreName>" for quote (with a confirmation of items selected) 3. OsCommerce sends email to <StoreName> 4. <StoreName> sends email to Customer outlining total price (including freight) 5. Customer sends email back accepting or not accepting the quote Possibly other thoughts could be made on this. I am hoping someone may be able to assist me some how. Any help is better then none :D Please Note: I have looked at the contributions but couldn't find anything, i might have missed something.
